The objectives of this course are to motivate the participants and to support a change of attitude and increased knowledge about human and technical resources in an operational maritime environment. This includes understanding of the importance of good management and teamwork and the willingness to change behaviour to accomplish or achieve the established goals of safety and efficiency.

The trainees who successfully complete the course should be able to successfully demonstrate their competence to maintain a safe navigational watch at both management and operational level, in particular their knowledge of bridge team principles.

Upon successful completion of the course, the trainee will receive a Bridge Team Management course certificate.
