Those who successfully complete the course should be able to demonstrate the knowledge which include, but is not limited to: - current security threats and patterns;

• Recognition of weapons and dangerous devices
• Recognition of persons who are likely to threaten security
• Techniques used to circumvent security measures
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and contingency plans
• Security equipment
• Control and monitoring techniques
• Methods of physical search of persons, baggage, cargo and stores

Upon successful completion of the course, the trainee will receive a course completion document for Security Training for Seafarers with designates Security Duties.
